Ok Guys, opinions needed.
I replaced the Power Steering Ram & hoses. I have a leak at the pressure side connection of the Power Steering Pump. It leaks more than the Transmission.
I used Teflon Tape when I installed the new Hose on the fitting, I’m beginning to think that was a mistake and the reason for the leakage.
Thoughts?

The seal at that connection depends on the flare at the end of the hose deforming enough to conform to the tapered seat inside the pump outlet. The threads aren’t what seal things up, so teflon tape is not likely to help. Make sure the flare is smooth and without nicks or bends, and replace the hose if not. And make sure there is no debris or nicks in the seat on the pump outlet. Then insert the hose straight in and make sure it is not under any sideways pressure and tighten the nut really tight. I went through several hoses before I got mine sealed up. The good hoses from Blue Dot Specialties are what finally worked for me.
