My project is the cougar XR7 turbo 4 and I would like to toss this out and see what comes back.
I am glad to see that you are watching my effort and before I go on I am about to dive into the inner nervous system, and I will be at times dealing with cougar circuits that will be identical or nearly identical to the whole 1970 cougar XR7 system.
You have seen the gauges that I have altered and with that I will be into all the gauge circuits.
Also circuits like, backup lights, alternator, power distribution, power windows.
Or let’s say, just about the whole car.
As I progress with this project I make many drawings, notes, and in those notes I include the color of wire and stripe color along with the circuit numbers from the cougars wiring diagrams.
I would like to make my project a learning experience for everyone, it has been for me.
The postings that I make are snips from a more complete and detailed documentation.
My question is: how much do you want to know about the wiring of a cougar or this cougar?
I don’t mean extreme point to point on everything, but instead use some simplified drawings of a particular circuit that I am working on with wire colors and circuit reference numbers.
And maybe a detailed, semi detailed or a brief detail of the circuit?
Or would it be better to keep the project updates short and show progress.
I can only work on my car in the spring summer fall and during the winter I start to compile my documentation and also the best time for me to post updates.
What would work best for everyone on this board as to how I should post wiring updates?
At what point does a poster hit the TMI limit. Just curious is all.
Thanks
Mick.
