Hey everyone, new to the community. Just pulled my 68 out of storage after 10 years. Getting ready to restore this car and need advice on the best lift point locations. Looks like there could be several and do not what to damage anything. Thanks
You want to support the car on the front and rear frame rails. As wide as possible to make the car more stable.
See attached photo here. I think back in the day they wanted you to lift at a divot in the pinch weld of the rocker. See the photo of where I lift mine

And used card board between lift point and frame? Let’s just scratch stuff up.
2 pieces of cardboard is enough to prevent scratches
Ive used cloth, like old socks, or towels…
Cardboard scratches. Learned that in my mid 20s packing moving van using cardboard to “protect” furniture
It scratched.
