Faced with the task of refreshing original pigment, and absolutely not wanting to repaint at all, what is a safe course of action for a person to take in bringing the old paint back to life?
What are your methods?

The answer to that depends on the condition of the paint. If it’s worn thin, not much will help. Otherwise, you could use a mild compound to remove oxidation and bring back some shine.
The best stuff I have ever used to refresh original pigment is Car Skin, it comes in a green pint can with black writing, have used it for years, if this don’t bring it back, then not much hope.
Not knowing the degree of your original paint, all I can say is I use a product called Klasse on my vehicles. Its a 2 part, first is the all in one and then the sealer. Don’t know if that helps.
Thanks fellas. Paint isn’t thin. Just oxidized.
