Question for Bill B. re:XR7-G article from 1983

In my attic I just stumbled across an old Classic Sixties magazine from July 1983 with a XR7-G on the cover. Inside is a several page article on it. I was thinking many board members may have interest in reading it. Is it ok for me to post a copy? Also, I’m wondering what would be the best way to get the article posted aside from cutting the magazine apart and scanning the pages. Any suggestions? I am aware of a possible copy right issue but since I am not trying to make any money of the posting I believe it should not be an issue and I have noticed articles all over the internet but I figured I should ask first. The magazine is no longer in existence to the best of my knowledge.

Is this the one.
To post try taking pictures of the pages, then crop them.

Yep. That’s the one!

I have that magazine also. There’s two of those presently on ebay right now. I love seeing these cars in print, there’s a little bit of misinformation in there though about production figures.

I’m guessing the production figure being off is due to the magazine being “pm”.

I have that magazine as well. Can still remember buying it off the rack at the Student Union bookstore on the Oklahoma State campus. I was wanting a muscle/pony car in the worst way, and had pretty much settled on a Cougar since it had to be Ford powered and Shelbys/Boss Mustangs were out of my college student budget even then. It was pretty rare to find anything Cougar related in print, so finding that mag was a big deal. I bought my '69 Eliminator later that summer, so it was a memorable time.

Sorry that I missed this… The answer is post away, just be sure to acknowledge the source. I had a challenging weekend. I had a fire sprinkler head fail in my upstairs bathroom. Regular plumbers are not licensed to fix fire sprinklers, so since it was the weekend and I didn’t want to increase the national debt, I did it myself. THe job was successfully completed, but it cut into schedule.

Bill hate to hear about the fire sprinkler head problem. I was speaking today about residential fire sprinklers with our Fire Chief. Are they mandatory in your state or county? General contractors fought against them here when local planning tried to pass a new ordinance requiring them on new home construction. They are life and property savers in the event of a fire, not so good if a head just breaks.
