I am putting the finishing touches on the engine bay. Currently installing the AC.
Compressor rebuilt. Original evaporator and hoses. New expansion valve, dryer and condenser.
I have access to R12. Any opinions on whether to keep it R12 or go ahead and charge with R134A.
Keeping the car as original as possible.
The system will feel like its spitting snow flakes with R12.
134 is not as efficient as R12. For the same system R12 will remove more heat, quicker compared to R134.
As far as cooling system performance is concerned, R12 is the way to go. Temperature wise R12 will be several degrees cooler in a system designed for R12.
