I have a 1967 Mercury Cougar. Yesterday I was backing out of my carport and the mast for the antenna broke off. It did not hit anything. My question is. Do I have to remove my factory console to get the antenna wire out of the back of the radio that is in the factory spot. Any help on this would be great. Thanks.
Should be able to access by removing glove box and getting at it from the side.
Agree with mr_580 - also the factory made the antenna so that it could be easily replaced with the fender and everything else in place. It will be easier if you have two people, one to install the antenna from the outside and one with a flashlight to shine through the hole forward of the kick panel area.
