Rear bumper fitment

I’m starting to do some panel figment on my 68 G and my rear bumper is puzzling me. I had it rechromed about 7 years ago. Brackets are nice and straight. The bumper is not getting close enough to the quarters. I have attached a couple pics. I don’t see any possible adjustments. Do I have to bend the bumper to fit or what options do I have.

They probably “straightened” it when it was rechromed. It certainly wouldn’t be the first time that a rechromer didn’t realize that there is supposed to be a bend in the middle.
