Rear disc brake conversation

Was wondering who- if anyone out there has used/ had any experience with the Rear Disc conversion kit from CJ Pony parts that is sold as the “small 8- 9 inch rear kit”.

I have a set of Cragar SS wheels- 14" front and rear that are virtually brand new…tires and all from the previous owner- on the car. I have been told that the kit may or may not work with 14’s.
I don’t really want have to buy new wheels and tires for the car, and once I commit to the project if they don’t fit- well I’m in a perverbial trick bag.

Any advice on this project or these kits would be helpful!

Autocorrect perhaps? After reading your thread title I found myself to be “Mildlyamused”! Sorry to say that I do not have any advice on the topic.

Get the catalog from Mustangs Plus. In the brake section there is a discussion (sorry) on front and rear disc brake conversions. Also there are several different conversion kit packages available in the catalog.

Just threw out the one I got in the mail recently. For me, there is no longer a good reason to have a bunch of parts catalogs hanging around. I have enough other stuff that I need an intervention to pry out of my hands (so to speak)!

Not about you. Just trying to help Mildlyamused.

I know, guess my comment is off topic. Sorry about that.

Check out Stainless Steel Brake Corp’s rear disc brake conversion kit. They have a kit for 14" wheels. I still maintain 14" American Racing Torque Thrust wheels with their kit on my 69 XR-7.
