Got a question about the rear end leaf springs. I noticed in some post online and my cougar’s wheels are about 7/8 of an inch forward of the center. Does anyone know why or what we can do to get the rear end pushed back 7/8 of an inch? Here are a couple pictures on found with cougars having the same issue.
Are the springs original or aftermarket?
If original have you looked at the engineering numbers on the short leaf to see if they are Cougar springs?
Is your rearend attached directly or with the Cougar insulating bracket to the rear springs?
That should cover the basic questions to dive deeper into what is going on.

I can tell in your picture that the car is not on the ground. Are the jack stands under the rear axle or the body? If under the body move them to under the axle. That will give you an idea of how the axle will sit on the ground.

If you replaced your springs make sure you have cougar springs and the correct wedge blocks between the spring and the axle. They differ from mustangs
