Hi,
my friend needs to change some rear lights on his '67.
All there is to find are used ones. Would these fit?
thanks

Jean I’m not sure if they will work. Looking at the photo on the eBay link it seems that the bulb will sit closer to the mounting/friction prongs. This would keep the bulb from being set at the proper depth in the tail lamp housing. I attached pictures from WWWC’s site of the 67 socket. I hope it make sense to you after looking at the pictures. The overall depth might also interfer with the tail lamp backer board covers in the trunk.

THanks Steven! i’ll pass that along
My friend believes he can recuperate the collar from the old socket, and use the new one.
the deeper body would prevent the bulb from being too close to plastic, in order not to melt it.
what do most folks use to replace a damaged socket?
.hello,
I repaired my sockets with it.

Mint used ones are too easy to come by, DO NOT cut your $250 harness to graft in Chinese Dorman crap.
