Hi all, i’m from the UK and recently became a '68 Cougar owner and it’s my first classic car. It needs some attention, but one issue is the rear right wheel sits forward in the wheel arch compared to the left side, which sits central.
Does anybody know what may be causing this issue?
I have also noticed that the rear right shock is loose at the top connection. The majority of the suspension probably wants to be refreshed.
Not a pin, it’s a bolt with a special long nut that secures all the leaves together as a unit. I bet yours is sheared. It’s available from anywhere that sells Cougar parts.
Thanks for the replies guys, I have just taken apart the U-bolts and the centre bolt was indeed sheared! As the bottom leaf fell free once the plates were removed!
