Rebuilt my holley 4150 2 times.. it keeps leaking

Carburetor novice :
So I rebuilt my carb once with a cheap rebuild kit with those junk black gaskets… it kept leaking from the accelerator pump and bowl screws…
I then bought an actual Holley rebuild kit and proceeded to rebuild it yet again.
Surprise!!! It leaks, and I think even more !
Is there a chance I might have overtightened the screws and messed it up ?
If so, is it junk ?
I don’t know how prone they are to warping if too tight…

You can true the fuel bowl and accel cover with a large fine flat file. Would could also use a helicoil to repair the thread, but if this is just a run of the mill Holley carb and not matching numbers, buy a new fuel bowl and move on. If it’s special go the fix route

It doesn’t look like Riley is rebuilding Holleys or Ford carbonators at this time. Edelbrock and Weber DGB’s are all she has listed. Maybe sometime in the future she will add them. But I’d say she is doing a well with what she is rebuilding.

Thanks for the update. Way back when she said they were only doing Holleys. Great to see that she has expanded.
