Remote, passenger mirror for 69/70?

Are all passenger side mirrors, only adjustable in place, or was there a remote, control/ adjuster mounted in the drivers door, for both? If there was a place on the inside of the drivers door, where would the second knob go? I found some mirrors on Ebay advertised for 69/70 Cougar, with a remote adjuster for the passenger side, and that just isn’t something I’m familiar with…

The factory mirrors for 1970 Cougar (unaware of any originals that are for 1969) have no adjuster on the inside. They are adjustable by manually moving the mirror to the position desired.

Royce is correct about the Right-hand mirrors that were optional on 1970 Cougars. All were manual adjust units. However, if you want a Right-hand Race Mirror that has a remote cable style remote, look for a mid 70s midsize Ford/Mercury, they did come with them and look like they belong on a 70.

To add a little more here, the late 70s right door mirrors that did have a remote control cable that control knob was located on the dash. It was located so that the driver could reach out with their right hand to adjust the mirror. The control knob was usually fairly close to the radio.

This all makes sense-
this is the ad I saw, and it just didn’t seem right to me-

That set of mirrors is for a Mustang. They will not work well on a 70 Cougar. They are intended to mount to the side of the door, not on the ledge at the top of it.
