My passenger side window crank was held on by an oversized screw when I got the car. After disassmebling a reassembling the door a few times, the oversized screw is no longer holding the handle tight enough to keep the handle engaged to the regulator.
Does anyone have suggestions on the best way to re-thread or repair the regulator? Surely there’s got to be an easy way to fix the threads instead of having to replace the entire regulator.

Helical worked perfectly for the threads.
Next question, the ridges on the regulator stem are a bit worn. Would wrapping it tightly in Teflon tape before I slide on the crank work to tighten tolerances and keep it from slipping or just smooth out the surface even more and increase slippage?
I think that is as good an idea as any and the tape will conform to the splines well.
Well, just an update. The threads inside the regulator are holding up great. Unfortunately it only took about 3 times rolling the window up and down before the regulator got finicky and the new crank handle started slipping.
Guess I should have just replaced the regulator in the first place.
