Reproduction dash pad defect??

I happened to noticed today my dash pad is coming apart at the ends where they bolt to the dash. The driver side is quite bad and the screw stud has completely pulled out of the molding of the dash pad so it’s very loose. The passenger side is close behind but not near as bad.

Anyone see anything like this? It’s not very old and hasn’t been installed for that long(3-4months). Car sits in the garage and not even in the sun. Purchased through wccc so it should have been the latest and greatest.

Not sure it’s fixable without replacement?!? I really don’t want to take it apart again but that’s less of a worry then a $500 part falling apart so quickly.

Yikes, that’s ugly. I would hope they would stand behind it, but still a pain to change. Not really fixable either with the outer layer torn apart like that. If the studs just broke out of the foam backing probably doable.

This is concerning I got one last summer from them, I haven’t installed it yet so I’ll be following this .

I have not contacted anyone about it yet. I will on Monday to see what can be done. Don very well might see this before then.

I bought mine back in October last year, installed in February this year. I think it happened in the last week or two. I was working in the car a couple weeks ago and I know it wasn’t like that then

Wow, So do on 68 Hertz. Mine is new waiting to be installed after paint. Keep us posted please as I know Don stands behind things like this. Must be a bad run hopefully not on all recent new ones.

Seems I do indeed have an odd ball issue here. Don or the supplier has not seen one do this before. They are sending a replacement without a second thought! cant beat that.

Bummer to take the dash apart again but happy to have a replacement coming so that is all I can ask!

We sell at least one a week… Never seen this before but there is always a first! My supplier replied within minutes and said no problem, another on the way.

I do appreciate the support from both party’s. Cant ask for better support!

I will compare the two side by side to see if there are any noticeable difference to maybe give some insight on why it came apart.

On the plus side I didn’t do a couple things behind the dash I probably should of when I installed it the first
time so I will correct those while I’m in there the second
time.
