I had to re-set my password, apparently it has been a while since I’ve visited this site.
I have an early production 1967 Cougar with a 390. 4 spd, 4 bbl and no power equipment.
My Dad bought it new and I bought it from my Mom after Dad died. I’ve had it about 38 years and it is just about to roll over 100k miles.
I have done engine and body work on it, several new interior parts, upgraded to front disc brakes and just finished replacing all the suspension and steering components. Getting close to having all the major needs met.
Hope to be able to add to some of the conversations on the Forum.

It’s been awhile since I’ve been to Morro Bay… there used to be a nice pizza place up the coast near Cambria just across the street from the entrance to Moonstone Beach.
Pics?!
No pics, it’s been at least a decade.
I’ll see if I can post a couple…looking at the reply box…
I don’t see the icon for inserting a picture, where do I go for that?

Above is a picture of the car when my Dad bought it new. I was with them when we drove it home, I never sat in the car again until I bought it from my Mom after Dad died.
This shows the car after I got the paint done. I did it my self at my local community college. I had to find different wheels after installing Lincoln Versalles front disc brakes.
This one shows the ingerior after I made a few simple changes and installed new front seat covers.
Looks like my first Cougar… It was a 4 speed J-Code.
It is an “S-Code”, 390, 4 bbl. 4 spd, 3:1 rear and dual exhaust with no power equipment.
Rick.
Looks like a fun car with a really cool history! Enjoy it!
