Have an issue trying to get my lights to power up. Repaced my neutral safety switch. The harness goes into the firewall, connected to the original harness. This is on an XR7 with floor console. My question is, do the light harness get the signal from shifter being in reverse? Console is not in the best of shape, don’t want to remove unless needed. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks.
Yes, the neutral safety switch on the transmission has the electrical contacts. When the shifter is moved to reverse is powers the reverse lights. Don’t forget to confirm ground connections when checking wiring. Fuses as well.
