In all I must have 10 or 12 light bezels, all with some form of imperfection. Is there any way to fix the age cracks? Some of my lens are really pretty nice and if you only glance the cracks are barely visible. They are able to fix small chips in windshields, I was wondering if something along that line would work to fix these cracks.
Just read the post by Engine 207 about his quest to figure out his green Cougars paint code. Happy for him that he found his build sheet. What I noticed was his build sheet was under the sound deadening, but there was no tar paper which was always on my 69s, which turned the build sheets black. Was this not the case in 70? I am doing a 70 Eliminator now and just figured it would be the same as the 69s I had done. This car came bare floor. Thanks.
As to build sheets, it depends on where the were placed. I have one form my White 70 XR-7 that was taped to the top of the fuel tank. It is very nice and easy to read. I found 2 in my Blue 71 XR-7. One under the driver’s seat, it was very nice and the other was under the underlayment on the passengers side in front of the seat. That one is staind and nearly dark Brown. There are ways to clean them.
