Sad day, one of my guitar heroes has passed. Rest in Peace Eddie Van Halen.
All of a sudden, I feel old.
It feels like a punch to the gut. Teen memories long gone. Rest in peace. Guitar god of our time. I still can’t believe it. My first concert as a teen. Need to turn on radio. My rock station doing tribute today. Many great times listening in first car. 68 XR-7 small block 4 speed. Tearing up the neighborhood and hanging out with my buds.

Van Halen was not one of my most favorite bands. However, that does not take away the incredible guitar and songs from this group. A staple of guitar rifs, RIP.

Saw him and his band play the then new Reunion Arena in 1980. That was a fantastic band and a fantastic concert. RIP.
He used to play under the downtown bridge (night club area) in my hometown Shreveport,LA when I was a teen. Back when he was dating Valerie Bertanelli. It was her hometown too. Man he could freaking play!
