Rough 70 Boss 302 auction

This Boss 302 Mustang is up for auction and ends on 8/17. It would need every body panel except the trunk lid, new floor and interior, rear end, hood and bumpers. Rumor has it that the original engine is on site and will be sold at a later auction.Vin# is 0F02G205344. A local guy with 2 parts cars said he is willing to go to 5k to buy it. The property has close to 100 cars including a 390 Fairlane GT ,70 Torino GT , Q code 69 Mustang, 68 Cougar and several 60’s Comets. I will update this post when the various engines are listed. Does any body think the bidding will surpass 5k?

It will I believe. Mustang people are crazier than us!

I do believe that there are Cougar folks out there that would pay $5000 or more for a Cougar title that came with shock towers…

Good Lord! The '57 Studebaker Silver Hawk that is similarly mouldering in the Maine woods at where I dubbed “Studebaker Corner” is possibly in better shape with its flathead six. $1500 to me.

R.B.

Yep, that car will never die. If there is an engine to match…$9000 IMO

Build a car around a VIN…

I bet that shell brings 10k without an engine! Mustang guys pay big bucks for stuff like that. seen rusted out fastback shell prices lately?

Here’s a 70 CJ Mach 1 on EBay; they are only asking $4,500 on a buy it now.

you guys are killing me here…

I Thank God for mine everyday. It cost me $4500 about 21 years ago complete and driving. I am working on rust and paint issues now but i have every nut and bolt. I Love this Mach1 but dont get me wrong I Love my 73’ Cougar just as Much them along with the 01’ WS6 are my Barreto Boys. I Love American Muscle car and want to help preserve them.

Was that an extra in the “War of the Worlds” movie? Maybe PT Barnum was right-there’s a fool born every minute?

The Car sold for 1650…

It may be safe to assume that is past the point of no return. If anyone would like to give it a shot then more power to you.

This is what you get from too many people watching the Saturday episodes of Mecum and BJ but not the Thursdays where guys sell for 1/10th of what they have in the restoration and then have to explain to the wife why the kids aren’t going to college after all.
