Routing 1970 351W Distributor Vacuum Lines

I need some help with these vacuum lines. I’m not sure if I need to order a dual diaphragm vacuum advance assembly…

So, I’ve got a 1970 351W car and motor with a 1969 4V Carb. The distributor on the motor right now is a single diaphragm and the vacuum hose kit I purchased was for a single diaphragm distributor. I installed them following the diagram (see below) but I’m left over with the 10" blue hose and unsure where this should connect to. The diagram that came with hose kit shows the 10" blue line entering to the back side of the carb area and connecting to the vacuum port area which is located on the rear top side of the intake manifold. This vacuum port only has two ports, one port for the 27" red hose connected to it already and another port which is for the power brake booster, therefore I’m unsure where this 10" blue hose connects…

I noticed on the front side of the carb there are two vacuum ports, one on the passenger side of the carb and one on the driver side. Right now the 17" yellow hose is connected to the passenger side port of the carb as per the diagram. So what happens to the port on the other side of the carb? Where does this connect into or does it get plugged? Does this blue hose connect into this port and connect to the second port on the distributor’s dual diaphragm vacuum advance assembly? Any help/guidance is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Overall scheme of things…

Does that hose go to a small valve on the air cleaner bowl?

Anyways, these were a bit of a biatch to figure out especially when I have never done this before and also my Cougar before I took it apart was not set up this way so I decided to take an hour and do up some images with some pointers as researching the internet wasn’t that helpful on this one for me. At the end of the day all this is very simple once you go through one on your own. Hopefully these images can help someone else out down the road. To note this really only applies to 1970 Cougars only.

Anyone have any photos like this of the 351 cleveland 4v?

The hose with blue stripe is usually hooked to vacuum operated doors on the the side of air cleaner or ram air flapper, if you have none of these, it’s not used.
