Hi guys,
Looks like major fuckup here! I lost one ball bearing from steering gear. Unbeleviable but I emptied whole working area where it dropped, but nothing! Just emptines left and no ball anywhere. Where can I found new one? If someone have numbs that match with SPA S that would help too.
Thx, but i don’t think those are right ones. What I need is those balls that goes in the worm screw or worm gear or what ever you call it in english speaking world. I just read that there is at least six different size balls and differense is something like 0,002”. So with luck there is 1:6 possibility to get it right
Bearing 3571?
1971 Shop Manual:

From the MPC:
Part Number C2AZ-3571-A

They’re available, but not cheap.

I’d get a magnet and keep searching. Look high and low because ball bearings don’t just roll - they bounce.
does anyone know how to identify what this car should really be 9f91r516789 9f91r516789 purchase car with a property want to restor it correctly is it a 428 cobrajet 4 speed ? seller says it is but the 428 is hanging on a chain next to it Help
Ironically, if it is a Saginaw, I will be in that plant tomorrow, small world. Used to be called Saginaw Steering Gear. Now it is Nexteer. Meanwhile, those balls are from the “ball nut”. Ball nuts in the machine tool world that I live in are readily available. The aftermarket car world, probably not. If you can get a good reading from a micrometer on the existing size balls, you can most likely buy the proper size from McMaster-Carr.
Its worth a try, search steel balls (leave it alone) and you will see several choices. You are talking about steering here, so you may also want to consider replacement.
