The reason no one is considering these cars is that you are significantly over-priced. These cars are both base model, low option cars that need complete restorations. Cost to restore will range between $20K and $40K each and they will be worth about $12K when done. As you can see, it would not be financially viable to restore, particularly if paying more than $500 to $700 each. I’m not in the market for parts cars but if I was, I wouldn’t pay more than $1500 for the pair.

When cars are priced right, they sell quickly, regardless of whether it’s a $500 parts car or a $100,000 GTE.

This is my unsolicited opinion so take it for what it’s worth.

I like the spoiler on the '70. Fits better than the ones Ford (and others) used. Streep?

You are right that is your Opinion and like all opinions they are compared to…( well you get the picture )

Before I would EVER considering selling for the price you suggested they would end up like this…

Yes that would be a sensible solution.

Jeff may have been a bit harsh, but he is correct. $4950 is significantly more than cars like that can be purchased for on the open market. That is not my opinion, look around you’ll find many of them.

I think you could get close to that for the pair on a Craigslist sale. Here, not so well. If I were to part them out I know the parts are worth far more then you are asking. The 4 speed setup is worth about 1/3 or better the asking price. I do hope you find them a good home.

Location of the cars ?

Both cars are located in Bakersfield,Ca

He stated this just before the first picture. I hope some one works a deal with him.

I would Consider a part trade…or sell the 69 by itself for a FAIR offer…These gals have got to go, I would hate to part them out

Selling them together makes no sense if you are trying to get top dollar. Marketing them here will net you the least results as most everybody here already has one or more. Lots of pictures on ebay, $1 no reserve will get you fair market value, I have done this 100’s of times and been rather surprised at times with the results. Craigslist gets you bargain hunters and tire kickers.

Sold Both Cats .Thanks all

What was the selling price for both cars?..just for future reference.

I made a guy a package deal both Cougars and a Q code 73 Mach 1 10K for all 3

I guess I should have broke it down…$1500 for the 69, $2500 for the 70 and $6000 for the Mustang
