Shackles or bushing width?

Hey everyone,

I’ve removed the leafs on my 68 GT today to install new ones.

I bought new shackles from WCCC and ran into an issue :

there’re barely any threads showing when they’re not installed and it’s even worse when i test fit them on my new springs..

I’ve tried the bushings on the old shackles and here it is :

Seems like the bushings that came with the shackles are not right.

Maybe i can sand them off a bit at the wider end of it ?

The ones from WCCC look like originals. The one in your picture with the flip flops doesn’t.
