Short power steering hoses

Can you help a guy out?
I ordered a set of short hoses from WCCC.
The shorter of the two has a thick yellow stripe and the
longer hose has a thin yellow stripe.
#C6OA-3A714-A short
#C6OA-3A717-A longer
Does this look correct?

How do you know which end of the hose goes to the ram and which end to the valve?

Thanks,
Jim

The 3A717 is the upper hose in the pic GAH posted above, 3A714 is the lower.

Look carefully at the crimp part of the ends. They are stamped with CYL

Yes! Thank you, pictures always help.
Now I know which hose goes top/bottom.
As far as which end goes to the cylinder … I’m thinking the end with less
of a bend to it?
My plan is to build everything from the idler arm to the end of a new steering link
with new parts. Then remove all the old stuff and mount up the new unit.
