Should I garbage pick a bench seat?

Yesterday, I saw what looked like a black bench seat from a Cougar/Mustang on this guy’s lawn. Around here, we take our own garbage to the dump, so people sometimes leave stuff at the road’s edge in case someone wants it. I pulled in for a closer look, and it was basically intact (the back panel was loose), but someone had welded it to a frame to make like a couch out of it.

Once I saw that, I left it there (it weighed a ton), but now I’m wondering if I should have tossed it in the back of my truck.

When I drive by on my way home from work tonight, if it’s still there, should I grab it?

Get it! Same as Mustang. We sell them for about $400. Each year is unique from the other years.

Thx Don, I’ll look for it on the way home tonight.

$400 for a bench seat ! Things certainly have changed from the days when bucket seats were “the thing” to have.

Lots of “items” that people routinely tossed when the cars were new, like smog and the hubcaps/steel wheels on '68 Shelby’s that bring a premium now.

It was gone by the time I got home that night.
