There are so many Cougar related pages on Facebook that are just full of crap. Bad information everywhere, repeated on multiple pages. Not to mention moderators that ban you if you propose anything they don’t agree with (like stating that FLM didn’t make any RHD Cougars)
Wish there was GIF that says “Go to Classic Cougar Community if you want the correct information”
I do that all the time but many people do not know how to navigate outside social media.
All you can do is keep correcting the mistake, it is up to them to believe it or not.

I can’t tell you how much time I’ve spent correcting people on just basic Eliminator stuff.
Facebook is fine for posting pictures of your car.
Answering questions should be done here. If you really want to help someone copy the question from FB and post it here as a new thread an then post the answer. This sounds self serving for the forums but what it does is to put the answer in a place where search engines can find it.
Alternatively you can post a link to what is already here.
People are using FB as if it were Google. If they put the same question into Google they will get better answers.
I will say you are correct.
Some people that needs help with parts i`ll navigate them to people or companies i trust in telling them who to go to. Otherwise i go on, collect my game coins from 1 of the games i play and get off. I cannot waste my life or time being on there. I come here for great people, parts and information. I am about fed up on social media as to me facebook is poison…

And rather than their current corporate tag line of “Connect with friends and the world around” they change it to “Mwahahahahaha!”
I spend too much time on Faceplant. It gets more and more futile trying to give good information. It keeps getting lost.

I am a moderator on several FB groups. Trying to keep the Bots and scum out is a lot of work. One Cougar group gets about 35 to 40 requests to join a day. I can’t do that from my phone as I can’t see all the information on the requests. Many I have to go to there wall to look at what they are. I don’t care about there political leanings, but if there is nothing for me to see I have to reject them. They are suppose to reply to several questions. Many never do.
I have my own group the membership is open to all car freaks’ if you will. That group only gets about a dozen requests a week and is much easier to keep up with.
Anybody want to buy my Dell laptop? Then I would have an excust to get away from FB and other internet crap.
