This distributor has been on my car as long as I’ve owned it and has served me well. Just recently discovered it was incorrect and got the right unit for my 390GT. Now it’s time to send this one along, hopefully to a Cougar home. If it doesn’t sell here, I’ll put it on eBay.

D0ZF-12127-C, indicated for a 1970 428 Cobra Jet or SCJ with 4 speed manual transmission
Date coded 9H29, August 29, 1969

The housing looks like it’s in good shape.
The teeth on the gear look good.
The lead wire looks good, could be original but I don’t know.
The advance unit looks like a standard after-market rebuild unit with no stamp. The correct X6 vacuum advance is not present. Here’s a correct X6 on eBay for reference:

WCCC recently sold one of these for $1249 but I don’t know what condition that one was in relative to this one.

Date would be good for my CJ Cougar. But mine is a automatic with A/C. Good luck with the sale. It might be good for Mike Banks Eliminator.

Heads up to all. If the deal is too good to be true, it is a SCAM. I was looking for one of these distributors for a client car, two weeks ago. I posted a wanted ad on the Vintage Mustang Forum, and some random guy responded that he had one. Sent me these same photos that he had it. Fooled me. I sent him $470 on Zelle. Mistake! Don’t send funds by Zelle - they are not protected. Should have used Paypal…not sure what I was thinking, but quite a mistake I won’t make again. Of course after he had the funds, his phone was disconnected, and email shut down. I should have searched his phone # (it came up a scam phone #), email, and the images he sent, all of which would have likely flagged this as a scam. Turns out he was scamming on other forums as well - Prius Forum, Artic Cat Forum, etc. I HATE SCAMMERS!
