WOAH!!! That is creepy. I thought almost this exact same mash-up yesterday when I looked at the broken clock in my kitchen, except it was a blind chicken. Too funny. We must be on to something.
The two that I know are 1) even a broken clock is right twice a day and 2) even a blind chicken finds a kernel of corn once in a while. Or something like that.
I’m guessing that variant would be that even a blind squirrel finds a nut once in a while.
Chris must be playing Black Ops Zombies too much on PS3? The guy that shoots zombies in that game says the same thing about the squirrel. Never heard that phrase before, just the clock being right twice a day! I usually only play race games but my boss got me hooked on killing zombies in Black Ops.
Ha ha, no time for video games, but it sure sounds like fun.
Every now & again I mix up my metaphors & sayings on purpose. I started doing it to break my father-in-law’s chops (as he does this now & again). My wife tells me that, like crossing one’s eyes, I’m in danger ot staying that way.
Remember that movie One Crazy Summer? Where the two girls were making fun of the ugly dog? Well, we’ll make sure not to pat you on the back while you are saying a metaphor.
