Sound deadening

Iv gradually been putting things back together, most recently , insulation under the hood and trunk lids.
I bought a kit from “Quiet Ride” in LA for something a little extra to add.
The kits have pre-cut insulation with embossed logos to give it a finished look.
The car has had Dynomate every where, and now the trunk and hood .
The kit i had ordered was to have the Cougar head logo, but the sent me the Cougar script plus the word Eliminator under it, which pissed my off cas its obviously not an Eliminator car.
Before i fitted every thing, i got a rattle can made to colour and gave the underside of the hood a touch up, it came out excellent .,
Unfortunatly i put a bit more insulation under the hood befor i fitted the finish panel, and yes …….
it rubs just a wee bit on the air cleaner lid ……:pensive::face_with_symbols_over_mouth:

I don’t see a recess embossed in it over the air cleaner like the original hood pads have. The reproduction hood pads don’t have it either and they rub on the air cleaner too. That does look cool though. If you look closely you will see the embossed area in this picture. I removed the pad as it was really dirty. I am keeping it safe for future cleaning and reinstallation.

my recessed original was getting a bit ratty so i binned it.
This new one would have been successful except i got greedy and put an extra layer of deadener
in it so it maybe hangs down a little more than with out …?

I think the concept of them is excellent !
