Spark plug gap

First Merry Christmas to all who respond…and even those that don’t. I am running an MSD ignition ( Pro-billet dist, Blaster 3 coil, Wires and 6A box). Does anyone know what the best plug gap would be? E3 Plugs too. For what it’s worth, the engine is a 69 Boss 302. Thanks in advance.

Well my nephew is running his plugs at .040. So…I guess I’ll start there. Thanks and Happy holidays to all.

I’m running a similar set up with Mallory components and I have my plugs gapped at .045. The car runs great and the plugs look good.

It will depend on the compression. If it is stock compression, I would run .045. That should be good up to about 11:1 compression.

Great! Thanks folks!

If you have not purchased the E3 plugs yet then don’t. They are all hype and not benefit. No advantage over the cheapest Autolite OEM plug you can buy.

Thanks Royce. I bought them already. But I found that out from a close friend who drag races and owns his own auto repair shop. He suggested I do just that. Buy the Autolites, tune the car and then maybe switch them later.

Hello guys! I’m really sorry if I try to resurrect the post here. I’m interested at the topic! Well, I’m using a similar set up with some components. I’m also running an MSD ignition for that. For how much did you bought the plugs for your car? thanks
