I would like to replace my rag joint with a steering coupler. I have a tilt/tilt-away column and need to know if the shaft is the same size and spline as a regular column.
I thought that I heard they were different and want to get the right coupler on order before i take anything apart if possible
They are different but the rag joint is the same either way. You have to re - use the metal parts and drill out the rivets if you are planning to JUST replace the rag joint.

If your ragjoint refurb isn’t up to your skills or needs, I have good originals still.
You can also buy repop’s now, but I don’t have the part number handy. They are OK, but not perfect reproductions, but will do the job for less than what I likely charge for an original!
