Hi good afternoon guy and Lady’s i have a question about steering wheel i have a 68 mercury cougar xr7 I’m looking for a cool smaller steering wheel I don’t like the factory one I have 5 Bolt looking for maybe racing or something not expensive thanks

Cool is in the eye of the beholder. Budget is yours to determine as well. You have lots of options. Check Summit Racing, NPD, Grant, LeCarra, Sparco, MOMO, Moto-Lita and others.

The ultimate and what fits the bill aesthetically (IMHO) is what was essentially the '67 Shelby steering wheel that was offered in the “How To Sharpen a Cougar’s Claws” brochure. Pricey for sure. I believe there have been some quality reproductions at times.

I really like that wheel. How do I put one on my 69??? It currently has the rim blow. The horn doesn’t work. What is the process. And most of all. Royce… Will it work??? Thanks
