Wheel bearing grease works well. Its thick enough to stay where you put it, and its made for high temperatures, so it won’t liquify and run off onto the carpet when interior temps hit triple digits. You pretty much have to pull the seats and disassemble the seats tracks to get it where it needs to go, though.
For a temporary fix some white lithium grease from a spray can should help, and can be picked up at any hardware or home improvement store for five bucks or so.
