Hello All, I picked up this cool Motor Oil can from the 60’s era at a garage sale. The top of the can appears to have been painted Red at some point. The previous owner had been using the can to store Kerosene.

Wonder what exactly the “Mercury” nomenclature is for?
In all of my vintage car mags and racing programs I’ve never noticed Sunoco advertise any “Mercury” grade of oil.
