Tailpipe hanger

I am in the process of replacing the exhaust system on my early '67 and have run into a little bit of dilemma so I was hoping to get some input from the group. The existing (non-original) dual exhaust tailpipes are attached to the shipping tie down brackets. Although effective, it doesn’t look right compared to what I have seen on other vehicles so I was considering installing factory style brackets ( https://www.drakeautomotivegroup.com/65-70-lh-gt-upper-exh-bracket-c5zz-5277-a). My concern is that I have holes on the inside of my frame rail but I do not have corresponding holes on the outside of the frame which I am assume I would have to drill. Am I correct in my assumption?

Also, I ran across these brackets (https://www.drakeautomotivegroup.com/64-6-custom-upper-exh-brackets-c5zz-5277-cr) that look factory but use the tie down bracket holes which is tempting since I wouldn’t have to drill holes in my frame. The primary problem is that they are listed as fitting a 64-66 Mustang so I am not sure the hole spacing would be correct for a '67. Anybody have any experience with these?

This is what was used on the transverse 1967 single exhaust system tailpipe. Dual exhaust was not an option but if you want duals you just buy two and flip it over to use on the passenger side. The frame rail is not supposed to be drilled all the way through as a nut-zert is welded in place inside the frame rail.

We will have the 67 stand alone listing up on our site next week.

Thank you both for the responses. It certainly helps to understand how the tailpipe was originally installed. I got a little excited thinking that I hadn’t seen the nut-zerts but, alas, when I crawled under the car they were not present on either side. There are two holes placed vertically on the interior of both frame rails towards the front of the fuel tank but I can clearly see through the holes to the other side of the frame. All four holes appear to be smooth around the edges so I see no indications that the the nut-zerts were drilled out.
Ultimately, now the I know that’s is how the hangers were originally mounted I can duplicate it with new nut-zerts.
