Just watched it. Cool story. A little before my time so I wasn’t really all that familiar with Roth or much of his work. Pretty innovative guy.
I just caught a few minutes of that during lunch. Hard to imagine a world with no printed T-Shirts!
Cool film, I’ve got it on DVD. Roth is one of my heroes. I was lucky enough to meet him at Carlisle one year.
I still have lots of his models and toys. A guy named Ed Newton did the majority of the artwork for Roth’s t-shirts and decals, including the GT-E Cougar art.
I used to love putting together his models when I was a kid, not to mention collect his rat fink trading cards. I also have a couple of his Tee-shirts autographed by him about a year before he died. Now I have to ask, what were you watching?
That was the title of the movie, “Tales of the Rat Fink.” A biography/documentary of his life. As far as a movie goes it wasn’t that great. But I enjoyed the story.
Was this on cable TV, a DVD, Netflix or what?
It was on the Ovation channel or OV on Directv. I always called it the ovary channel cause I thought it was one of those chick flick channels. But apparently not. If I remember correctly it came out in 2006. Stars John Goodman, Ann Margret, Jay Leno, etc. All doing voice overs, no on screen appearances.
