Don’t you just hate it when you thought you came across the holy grain of wheels only to realize they are the 4-lug version ? grrrr

Yeah, saw those. Seems Rader made a version aimed at the Austin-Healey crowd.

I have seen them on 240Zs and Celicas.

I suppose one could weld-up the lug holes, machine some new ones and have themselves an NOS version that would fit a Cougar….. Not worth the $600 gamble for me though.

Original Wheel Corp. of America/Trans-American Products “Wire Wheel Look” Raders?

The only time those were offered by the factory was on XR7-G Cougars and they ended up being recalled. They originated that spoked design and there have been many imitators since. You can tell vintage Raders by counting their spokes. They have 16. Later look-alike wheels have more - for added strength I would guess.

Here is a set that sold on eBay that actually had Alph-Romeo cast into the backs.

Rader wheels were sold to fit anything and everything. Four lug wheels may fit some old 6 cylinder Mustang or Falcon.

Thanks for the info on Rader wheels. I will have to be very careful and take a very good look at any I might find.
