The throttle linkage on my edelbrock performer 1405 is about 3 1/2 inches from the driver side carb bolt holes. I have had a hardware mousetrap that works, but it looks crummy. Very Rube Goldberg’ish, not lined up properly, etc.
So I’m looking for a bracket for this set up, something with the square hole for the cable about 3 1/2 inches away from the carb.
Something shaped like the stock bracket for the old two barrel auto lite carb, but wider to the square hole. Has anyone found something that works? Thx
Thx.
After talking with Darrell at WCCC, I think the stock bracket will work after all. Ordered it today. we will see
I ended up cutting up my original bracket and welding in a piece to mate up to the bolts on my 4150 Holley 4 barrel. It actually looks like it came that way. (Unless you really know what the original looks like)
Here’s a few pics of the bracket I make out of flat stock iron & the old 2V brackets. This fit Edlebrock carbs like the 1404.
Excellent work! How many inches from the carb bolt to the square hole? Are you selling these? Thx
I’m not sure on the exact distance. I’ll have to go measure one to be sure.
I do have a lot of 2V brackets (69 & 70) that I can make some from.
If a few people are interested I’ll set up & make some more. Just let me know!
My throttle cable link on my edelbrock Performer 1405 is about 2 1/2 inches from the carb bolt, WITHOUT the a/t kick down linkage. That linkage adds another 1 1/2 inches, for a total of about four inches.
I would like one of these brackets. How can I get one? I tried sending you a private message but I don’t think it worked.
