That is where mine is, but I am running a eighties something engine with water pump outlet on drivers side.
Have you looked for it on the drivers side (I feel like you have).
Well Catlover, I had looked on the Drivers side and didn’t see it. BUT your post said Drivers Side Water pump outlet that gave me new search terms to use, and since mine is a Passenger Side Water pump (what’s up with that FORD?) lo & behold a Pointer was found on the drivers side. Not so much as a pointer but a piece of tin sticking about half way across the Balancer.
I guess you better know what year/application a 351W is to get the right parts up front.
69 and 70 and up use different water pumps, 69 being passengers side 70 and up being drivers side. The balancer is also different, 69 being 3 bolt for the crank pulley and 70 up being 4 bolt. This caused the timing pointer needing to be moved to the other side of the balancer. I have had fun a ew times working on mis matche3d engines with the wrong front cover (or what ever caused it) when tuning and not having a timing mark. Usually on a 289/302 but can happen on a 351W too.
