I’m guessing it’s way easier to ask here than look this up on my own.

On a '68 there are two options:

tinted windshield
tinted glass

Windshield seems obvious. When it’s “tinted glass” does that also include the windshield? Is all the tinted glass marked Sun X?

Some windshields just have a blue band of tint across the top of it, about 3-4 inches wide. Full tinted glass will have the SUN-X mark on it. If the paperwork for a car says TINTED GLASS then that would be all the glass, including the windshield.

You could get your Cougar three ways in 1968.

  1. With clear glass all around
  2. With tinted windshield. All other glass was clear, windshield marked “Sun-X”
  3. Full tinted glass all around. All windows “Sun - X” engraved
