The linkage from the cam to the accelerating pump should be black.

Do you have pictures from? I am very interested to so the correct factory look.

This is just a observation/question because I don’t know - does this carb have a A/T kick down linkage? It looks like it does. Should it? I thought a 68 kick down operated off the gas pedal so it would not have it on the carb.

I don’t know about the black linkage, but the GT-E carbs did have the kick down linkage on them.

Most of them I find don’t have the Torino / Cyclone kickdown linkage. I agree the accelerator pump arm should be black phosphate coated. This particular carburetor was restored by Mike Ulrey about 20 years ago, then Joe Bunetic re - restored it two years ago when it got ruined by E10 gas.






Congrats on picking up a very hard to find date coded correct carb! Took me two years to find one of those.
