Topless, Naked Cougar

Just got the Q code back from the blasters. She’s not as bad I thought she’d be. Now off to the bodyshop!

SCHWEEET!

Very Nice. How much did that cost?

Sheesh, talk about false advertising! NOT the photo I was anticipating, AT ALL. :kicksrocks:…

Car looks great!

Blasting cost was $900. $440 to get it into primer. Now just waiting for the bodyman to finish his new shop. Work should start in about 3-4 weeks. I can’t wait. I tore the car apart 3 years ago and its been sitting in my garage ever since…

Here are a bunch of full size pictures of the car after being put into primer.

Some issues to deal with but looks real good. Nice to have it all cleaned up I bet.

Nice! Thanks for posting those blogspot pics. Being a '67 owner, it is interesting to see the structural changes in the '69, like reinforced shock towers and a better fresh air intake arrangement.

Are you planning on adding subframe connectors? I just got mine from TCP and they are pretty sexy. Don put the full 2 piece unit on his 'vert. 'cause he has that beefy 427.

Going to put this one back exactly as the factory did it. I’d love to change the color etc. But it’s too rare

Update: two years later!!

Just sent the engine off to get rebuilt.

Body work mostly done. Suspension and engine bay detailing almost done.
Rear axle done and installed.
A/C wiring and Lower dash installed.

Can wait to get the engine back into the engine bay!

Slow progress, but getting there!

Changed the 3.00:1 open rear carrier to 3.50:1 posi
Rebuilding with roller rockers. Everything else as she left the factory.

Looking good. Slow progress is better than no progress.

Progress is a good thing! Looking good. White looks good but I am biased.

Funny - can’t access the site from one of the local wifi hotspots because it is now deemed to have offensive material because of the title of this post

Still making progress … SLOWLY…

Car porn. I love it. Hope to see mine butt naked one day!!!

Worth the wait. Looks really good.

She’s finally in Paint!! Only took 9 years! Hopefully It’ll be back together much sooner!

Keeps getting better all the time. Keep at it! That is Pastel Grey? Look almost White. Black top or White?

Pastel Grey. Blue interior. Black top.

Here are a few “before” pics.
