Transmission oil cooiler

Has anyone installed a tramsmision oil cooler?

Assuming you’re talking about an aftermarket air to oil cooler? If so, yes…

I have. I took my GT-E for its first drive after installing a 2850 RPM stall converter. The transmission tunnel got too hot to touch! I installed a auxiliary transmission cooler (still used the OEM one) and it has fixed the problem.

I’ve installed an aftermarket transmission cooler. Major transmission upgrade that requires a dedicated cooler.

Yes they are far better then the factory. But if you’re in a real cold neck of the woods, I’d route it thru the radiator trans cooler after the aftermarket cooler. Otherwise the trans will never get up to temp in ugly cold weather. Don’t use a rubber hose clamped to the steel tubing either. The heat and PSI will blow it off sooner or later.

This is my install…

I would remove the fan. Only blocks air flow. I use a temp gauge on my C-4 that is behind my 460. Even hot days at idle 185 and the temp drops fast I start moving. The fan for the Rad cooling will be more than enough.
