Hello All,
Anyone know for sure what the correct hardware is that was used for mounting the rear trim panels
on a '69 XR7 convertible? I’m talking about the 2 screws and cup washers that were used on the forward
flat surfaces of those panels. See the attached picture. This has been driving me nuts for a long time
and I wish to solve it.
Thanks
They kind of look like Nutserts. http://avdelusallc.com/products/nutsert.shtml
They are a counter sunk sheet metal screw/ You can get a set from AMK, they are in kit #F-1027.
John’s Classic Cougars used to sell, and maybe still does, a kit with all of the screws needed for dash and interior, all nicely labeled where each went. It was really helpful when I did my car, which had virtually every screw substituted with whatever the previous owners found on their garage floor.
