I am putting on the trunk weatherstrip and was wondering if anybody had a easier technique than gluing and taping it up every foot? Thanks
Take the lid off and do it on work horses upside down. Reinstall lid after glue is dry the next day.

Since1980 has the right approach. But if you apply the weatherstrip adhesive to both surfaces and then wait a minute or two until it gets tacky, you can at least apply it upside down without having to tape the weatherstrip in place.
Ditto, dont forget to mark the outline of the hinges ro make for easy re-i stall and alignment.

I mask the whole thing, then apply 3m 1357 or Fastbond 10 glue from a can. It goes pretty quick. I have not taken the lid off for this job. The guys at the factory did not mask anything!
Masking is a good idea! Much less messy and makes it easier to see exact location for the weatherstrip.
