Turn signal problems

1979 cougar xr7
So im back again with more electronic problems. So I took apart the steering wheel in hopes of seeing whats wrong with my turn signals. The hazards work on all lights. When the headlights switch is off it does nothing. When the headlights switch is on, when its in neutral, the dash lights up solid with the right blinker light. The outside blinker stays solid also. It does the same in the “right then position” also. The left position does nothing.

I used a continuity test (multimeter that every function but continuity isnt working) from some point that I saw on the turn switch. All the points seem to make it back to the fuse, but none go to the flasher. Is there some weird way to get the fuse box of so i can check behind it. Also does anyone understand at all what could be wrong. Ive been at this for 2 days and im at a lost for words

Fixed it. Rewired 2 tailights were wired wrong amd even though the fuse for the signals appeared to be fine, after a continuity test, found out it wasnt. New fuse fixed it right up

Good to hear. I had no information to help you so I did not post anything earlier. Happy motoring.
