Under dash AC wiring

My 1968 XR-7 was missing the evaporator/heater box when I bought it. I installed it this weekend and am now doing the vacuum and wiring for these components.

It was missing some of the wiring and vacuum hoses, so I am sorting it myself but have run into conflicting schematics, so I was hoping to get some clarification.

As you can see below the wires running to the compressor, thermostat switch and control switch are routed differently in the two schematics.

To me Schematic A is correct, but when I bought the car there was a green wire plugged to the control switch mounted on the blower box, as shown in Schematic B.

I will note all the wires should be green but I change some to yellow in the schematic differentiate the wires.

So, which one is correct?

ETA: I know the B schematic shows a 67 Mustang, I chose it because it showed the same green wire going through the firewall from control switch to compressor as I found on my car.

Thanks again,

Is there a question? Both wires are green under the dash. They lead to the icing switch mounted on the top of the heat / AC box. Under the hood that same wire is black.

I thought it was obvious, I was asking which schematic was correct since they are showing different wiring. I will edit the OP to make it clearer.

The color is not in question, routing was, as I explained in length.

The wiring / vacuum manuals have both the installation drawing (shows a ghosted car shape in the background) and the actual schematic. Sometimes the assembly line guys figured out a better way than the engineers design, or quicker, or more practical etc. I think that’s what you are seeing. The books were sent to the printer long prior to the car actually being built on the line. Often the books disagree with the way the car was actually built.

That’s an interesting point to note; thanks! Those Union guys, never follow instructions!
