Not trying to stir the drama pot. He says he got kicked off of here. Perhaps this is an unfortunate misunderstanding.

He did not get kicked off. He us actually still a member here. He said that he was done here I asked him what the problem was and he would not say. He asked me to delete all of his posts. He posted here that he was starting a new forum on a gaming platform called Discord. I had received complaints that he was posting too much non Cougar related content here. I suspect that some member(s) had been sending him critical direct messages. At any rate he seems to want to try his hand at running a forum. Maybe Discord has a better system, I don’t know. What I do know was the migration to our current software is still getting criticised so I am loathe to try anything different.

Many of you have been here for at least most of the 15 years the forum has been active. You know how things work here. One thing he did get correct is that this is a COUGAR centric site. It exists for the benefit of the COUGAR community, hence the name. That is not going to change.

I know I personally didn’t care for all the video posting when they aren’t his. I would never complain about it. I did consider blocking him so I didn’t have to see them every time I checked in. I don’t post much here at the moment but that will change once I get back to working on the car instead of just spending money collecting parts lol. Take it for what it’s worth. Mike

Discord isn’t specifically for gaming, but it IS used quite a bit by gamers (of which I am one).
The idea with Discord is that it can be used as a forum, in that you can make posts for various topics, but it also allows voice communications ~ so you can actually join voice channels and TALK to people in real time.
Discord servers can be created by anyone and you can send out a link for people to join your server, and you can moderate it similar to a forum.
On a sort of tangent, @xr7g428 , maybe you should look into Discord and consider setting up a Classic Cougar Community server. It would be kinda cool to hang out and BS with “everyone” and talk about “cougar stuff” in a voice channel occasionally

Discord? I’m not that familiar with it.
I believe what this forum consists of is the best structure for communicating, posting, storing and later retrieving Cougar related info.

Sounds like he doesn’t know how forums work and is in begging for attention. Best of luck to him and maybe he will come back around one day.
The manufactured drama he made around his “departure” may be the most engaging original content he’s created.

I enjoyed the videos because I just don not have time to look them up.
And I do not use Facebook whatsoever.
I do understand leaving a forum though. I was on a certain chevy “W” engine forum that didn’t sit well with me because of the politics and hatred of people. I thought it was about CARS! That’s why we get along…
